President's Address

During the end of The Annual Florida Association Meeting, the concept of Succesion-Planning was introduced to the membership, followed by a lengthy discussion on the concept of using it as a management tool in our association.

"The term Succession Planning refers to a business strategy companies use to pass leadership information down to another team member or group of members."

This concept makes the transition of historical information much eaieser for the replacement  member to keep the process moving.  After much discussion,  it was agreed that the Association would addopt this management concept. 

Current Executive Team Members are actively implementing this concept as a management tool in the association operations.  For example, team members have been asked to document:

• Contacts for facilities/supplies
• Event Schedules
• Supply Locations
• Community Working Relationships
• Operational Budgets
• Etc.
