Good Afternoon USATF Florida Officials, Here are a few updates and official requests. If you haven't already reached out to the contact person for the meets please do so at your earliest convenience. The coordinators would like to use as many Florida officials as possible before sending these requests out to other Associations.

Please remember you have to be 3 step compliant to be certified. Membership fee, Safesport and Background check. If your membership is yearly, You can now renew for 2024 now.

Do you know anyone that wants to become an Official? There will be a Basic rules review via Zoom held January 9, 2024 at 7:00pm. This will be the last training until recertification. Please let anyone you know that might have an interest in becoming an official the link will be sent out January 5, 2024.

Scott Phoenix (Oregon Association) and Bill Barbel (Pacific Association) have lined up some zoom training meetings. I have attached a list of the meetings and the dates in the flip book below.

If anyone is interested in working any meets at ACSEC Gainesville Indoor track facility Scott Peters is having training on Laserlynx, Fieldlynx, Clerk/Umpire Throws, High Jump, Horizontal Jumps and Pole Vault. The training will be held this Sunday and the cost is $30. Contact Scott Peters at scott@raddsports.com to register.

Each new USATF Certified Official is entitled to receive one Nike polo shirt. You can find this in your connect profile or you can go to shopusatfofficials.com, Once you are there click on the menu tab and click on new official. When you check out, please be sure to enter your Membership ID # on the Shopping Cart or Checkout pages. Current officials can also order merchandise from this site.

Save the date: Para Athletics will have a Virtual Roundtable discussion on March 12, 2024. More information to follow.

Every year Jim Hanley puts together the 2024 Edition of Track & Field Rulebook Differences. There are over 200 changes since 2023. The cost is $17 per book plus $3 for shipping and handling.
