President's Quarterly Report
FLORIDA PRESIDENT’S QUARTERLY REPORTS:
Administratively During the last 9 months, members of the Executive Team have been working very hard to establish a working environment that has accountability to its membership. To that end we have revamped the Articles of Incorporation to be incompliance with both state and federal laws and revised our bylaws to be consistent with the articles of incorporation. Both
documents are required to receive federal 501c3 (i.e., Non-Profit Designation). Finally, we implemented a Code of Conduct that holds the Executive Committee accountable to its membership. Once these documents are properly filed at the State and Federal level, both should be posted on the USATF/FL Association web-site for all to view.
Now is time for the House of Delegates (By-Law, Article-7) to ensure the operational integrity of the Association is maintained. Operationally the Committee Chairs are diligently working on events (both meets/clinics) to host
for the remainder of this year and throughout 2024. They are working to host association championship meets to meet our accreditation requirements. Although, we fell short this year, we have very aggressive plans to meet expectations in 2024.
We have a very aggressive schedule for the remainder of 23/24. Committee Chairs have done an excellent job of hosting events in the southern part of the state, now they have the challenge of duplicating those events in the northern part of the state. Stay tuned for some innovated events expected to roll-out in 2024.
I encourage the membership body to reach out to various Committee Members and plug in and support our efforts. Your skills would be greatly welcomed. This effort will require more Certified Officials to meet the demand. Surely, you know someone that is ready to give back to the sport. Please have them reach out to Certification Chair, Monica Snead to get started with
the certification process. Also, you are encouraged to visit your web-site for additional association information.
Respectfully,
Nate Johnson
