OFFICIAL'S NEWS FOR FEBRUARY

Happy Birthday to  ALL born in the month of February!!!!!!!!!!!

Please remember in  order to be active you must be 3 step compliant.  This includes making sure your membership fee is paid, background check is up to date  current and your Safesport is complete.  Background checks are due every 2 years and Safesport Annually.

Sharing some information that was submitted from the NOC Newsletter that you may have missed.

Take a CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) course. Contact your local Red Cross, American Heart Association, fire department, health department, or health care facility. You may save someone’s life at a meet. Hands-only CPR.
 
Make sure you have the current rule books for the 2023 outdoor season: NFHS, NCAA, USATF, World Athletics, and Para Athletics. Follow the links below to order or download a book. Also, take time to review the major rule changes and rule interpretations.
 
NFHS: National Federation of High Schools Associations (NFHS) Rule Book--hardcopy or digital access.

NCAA: NCAA Rule Book--hardcopy or download.
 
USATF: USATF Rule Book--view or download.
Hardcopies of the USATF Competition Rules will be available in February.  
 
World Athletics: World Athletics Competition Rules and Technical Rules (go to Book C: Competition), both are downloads.
 
Para Athletics: World Para Athletics Rule Book--download. The current rule book was published in June 2022 and remains in force for now.
 
Jim Hanley with the Southern California Association has been  publishing the popular Track & Field Rule Book Differences book. The book shows the rule differences between NFHS, NCAA, USATF, World Athletics, and World Masters Athletics. Go here to order the 2023 edition.

Just a reminder your Certified National Uniform is the solid blue NIke polo short sleeve and long sleeve shirt, Light khaki slacks, skirts or capri pants or shorts, Brown or khaki belt, Nike athletic style shoe or non branded athletic shoes.  Your Association logo on your polo shirt is not considered your USATF Official shirt.
