MARK SPRINGER TRAVEL GRANT

MARK SPRINGER TRAVEL GRANT

2022 Application

The 2022 Mark Springer Travel Grant application form is available here.

History of the Grant

Named after the former USATF Director of Grass Roots Programs & Planning and originator of the program, the Mark Springer Youth Travel Grant Program offers travel assistance grants to eligible youth track and field clubs across the country. Since 2000, the grants have helped clubs offset expenses related to travel to USATF National Championships.

Since 2006, the USA Track & Field National Governing Body (NGB) has awarded over $160,000 to the program. USATF encourages the use of grant money to expand existing youth programs/clubs, to provide additional competitive opportunities for youth athletes and to enhance the experience for all participants. We also encourage programs that have a history of qualified management in addition to community interaction and support. Allowable expenses include equipment, uniforms, entry fees and travel.

  2. The amount of each grant is equally distributed within the five (5) zones.
