USATF-Florida Officials Stipend Request

Greetings.  Our purpose at USATF/FL is promoting the sport of track and field.  To that end, we are working to set a standard of compensation for Track and Field Officials.  This is not a mandate, but a recommendation proposed by the USATF/FL Official's Committee to address the inequity track and field officials incur while working Track Meets.

This is not a complete solution but a start on the road to generate more interest in officials working meets.

The purpose of the recommended fee structure below is to:
  • help recruit new officials and establish consistency in officials pay and
  • to help officials cover their cost (i.e., Travel, Supplies and Certification, etc.).
STIPEND (per day) STANDARDS:
  • $200 Referees/Starters (Will continue to be compensated for the shells that they use, invoice will be provided by the Starter)
  • $200  EDM Officials plus the rental equipment cost; support crews will be compensated based on their USATF Certification Level
  • $200 Lead Implement Inspector  plus rental equipment cost; support crews will be compensated based on their USATF Certification Level
  • $175 Lead Event Officials
    $160 Masters
  • $145 National
    $125 Associate
    $100 Apprentice
  • Provide overnight housing to Officials that are more than 40 miles from the track.

It is time we recognize the  Officials that bring credibility and professionalism to our sport!
