U.S. Area Youth Olympic Selection Trials - Track & Field  

What: 2014 U.S. Area Youth Olympic Selection Trials- This is the first year we will be hosting 5 other Spanish speaking countries and Canada.
 
When: April 4-5, 2014
 
Location: Miramar, Florida (Ansin Sports Complex)
 
Participation: Athletes must be age 16 or 17 (born 1997 or 1998) on December 31, 2013 to be eligible for nomination. Date of birth verification ( birth certificate, driver's license or passport) must be presented during the entry process of the 2014 U.S.A rea Youth Olympic Selection Trials.
 
History: The Youth Olympic Games (August 16- 28, 2014) is an inaugural event where youth athletes will have the opportunity to balance sport, education and culture. These Games work as a catalyst in these fields throughout the Olympic Movement. The vision of the Youth Olympic Games is to inspire young people around the world to participate in sport and adopt and live by the Olympic values. It was during its session in Guatemala in July 2007 that the IOC decided to create a new sporting event to educate, engage and influence young athletes inspiring them to play an active role in their communities.

The Vision

Ages?
Athletes born in 1997 and 1998 will be eligible to be selected to represent the USA in Track & Field at the Youth Olympics.
