PORTLAND, Oregon -- Homestate hero Ashton Eaton (Bend, Oregon) began his two-time title defense Friday, leading the men’s heptathlon through two events with 2,032 points, just 28 points off of his world record pace.
PORTLAND, Oregon -- Americans had another big medal haul Friday night at the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships, winning three gold medals and one silver. After two days of competition, Team USA leads the medal table with seven medals, winning four of the seven final events contested thus far.

PORTLAND, Oregon – Eight World Indoor Championships medalists, including two-time defending heptathlon champion Ashton Eaton (Bend, Oregon), highlight Team USA’s roster for the IAAF World Indoor Championships – Portland 2016. In total, 58 athletes will represent the red, white and blue at the Oregon Convention Center, March 17-20.
