BEND, Oregon -- The 2017 Masters Grand Prix gets underway with the 2017 USATF Cross Country Championships on Saturday, February 4th. Masters prize money of $7,000 sweetens the rewards for the victors in age-grading and age division championships. The masters women run at 10 a.m. with the men following at 10:45 a.m.

BOSTON -- In a meet that saw six world leads set, it was the women’s distance medley relay that reigned supreme. Bettering the world record that was set two years ago at this meet, 2016 Olympians Emma Coburn (Crested Butte, Colorado), Sydney McLaughlin (Dunellen, New Jersey), Brenda Martinez (Rancho Cucamonga, California) and Jenny Simpson (Oviedo, Florida) teamed up to break the DMR world record at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in 10:40.31.
SANTEE, CALIFORNIA -- In her first 50 km, Katie Burnett (El Cajon, California) not only won the title Saturday afternoon but also set new American records in the 40 km and 50 km at the USATF 50 km Race Walk Championships.
INDIANAPOLIS -- Picking up where she left off in 2016, 100mH world record holder Keni Harrison got 2017 off to a quick start with a victory at the Rod McCravy Memorial Invitational at the University of Kentucky on Saturday. Harrison won the 60m hurdles in the third-fastest time in U.S. history, easily setting a world lead and new personal best with a time of 7.75.
BOSTON -- Over a dozen Olympians from the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team, including nine Rio Olympic medalists, will take center stage as the 2017 USATF Championship Series kicks off at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix on Saturday, January 28. Action begins at 3:30 p.m. from the Reggie Lewis Center on the campus of Roxbury Community College.
Former New York Marathon race director and New York Road Runners (NYRR) President and CEO Allan Steinfeld passed away on January 24, at the age of 70.
