INDIANAPOLIS — Lukas Verzbicas has been named USA Track & Field’s Athlete of the Week after becoming the fifth U.S. high school athlete ever to run under four minutes in the mile with his victory in the adidas Grand Prix High School Dream Mile.
NEW YORK – Despite the rain and cloudy skies, the stars still shined at the 2011 adidas Grand Prix held at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island. The day was highlighted by Allyson Felix’s convincing victory in the women’s 200m and high schooler Lukas Verzbicas’ sub-4:00 mile.

INDIANAPOLIS – Bobby Mack (Raleigh, N.C.) used a late surge to take the USA Men’s 8 km Championships Saturday in Carmel, Ind. Mack ran 23:05 to win his first USA title at the championships that were hosted by the Carmel Marathon Championship Weekend.

NEW YORK- World Champions and Olympic gold medalists including Tyson Gay, Jeremy Wariner and Allyson Felix headline the field at the 2011 adidas Grand Prix this Saturday, June 11, at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island in NYC.
As a child growing up, Gunnar Nixon dreamed of being the fastest or strongest man on the planet. Despite the high aspirations he had for his athletic career, he never imagined that he would become a star decathlete. In fact, the Santa Fe High School senior didn’t even know what the multi-events were until his freshman year in high school.
