INDIANAPOLIS – At the recently completed 2011 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., a total of sixty-three current and former elite athlete grant recipients competed for national titles and an opportunity to wear the USA singlet at the upcoming IAAF World Championships this summer in Daegu, South Korea, announced Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic and Chairman Bob Greifeld.

INDIANAPOLIS –Trevor Barron has been named USA Track & Field’s Athlete of the Week for his record-setting performances at the 2011 USA Outdoor Championships. 
INDIANAPOLIS – 2010 men’s 10 km champion Ed Moran (Williamsburg, Va.), returns to Atlanta to defend his title as the 42nd running of The AJC Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta, Georgia hosts the 2011 USA Men’s 10 km Championships on Monday, July 4.
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Margaux Jones followed up her youth girls' pentathlon victory with another win on the third day of the USA Youth Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Jones cleared 1.60m/5-3 to best the rest of the high jump competitors. Jones will try and continue her winning ways in the long jump, 100m hurdles and 100m, which she is also entered in.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Aldrich Bailey completed a successful double, taking victories in the 200m and 400m, as the World Youth Trials competition wrapped up. Forty athletes from the Myrtle Beach, S.C. competition were selected to represent Team USA next week at the 2011 IAAF World Junior Championships based on IAAF qualifying standards and placement in the meet.The USA Youth Outdoor Track and Field Championships will contnue competition through Sunday.

INDIANAPOLIS – The USA Track & Field Board of Directors has finalized a leadership plan that will extend the service of Interim CEO Mike McNees and institute a new committee structure designed to advance the organization’s strategic, commercial and operational objectives. The Board approved the plan at its meeting June 25-26 in Eugene, Ore.
