INDIANAPOLIS – A record number of athletes and clubs will compete for national honors July 8-9 at the 2011 USATF National Club Track & Field Championships at Icahn Stadium in New York City.
LILLE, FRANCE – Arman Hall won the boys’ 400m in convincing fashion in a time of 46.01 to win gold and further secured Team USA’s spot atop the medal count on day three of the 2011 IAAF World Youth Championships.
There are very few women in the U.S. who have run an 800m in the low 2:02’s this year. In fact, to date, there are only 16 women who have run 2:02.50 or faster. Most of the names on the list are well known; there are Olympians, sponsored athletes, post collegiate runners and a few college standouts. But one name stands out on the list – Amy Weissenbach. She ran a 2:02.04, and is six years younger than any other athlete in that group.
PARIS, FRANCE – Competing at the Paris Diamond League meet Friday, American shot put thrower Jillian Camarena-Williams tied the existing American record with her third place throw of 20.18m/66-2.5.
