INDIANAPOLIS -- Reigning World Champion in the shot put Joe Kovacs (Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) astounded the competition at last week’s Tucson Elite Classic, improving on his PR with the world’s best throw since 2003.
LOS ANGELES -- An epic early-season battle between training partners and Olympic champions Matthew Centrowitz and Mo Farah, as well as a stunner of a performance from Rio Olympian Brenda Martinez were the stories of the night at the 2017 USATF Distance Classic at Occidental College in Los Angeles, California. All told, 12 U.S. athletes met IAAF World Outdoor Championships standards and 34 athletes met qualifying marks for the 2017 USATF Outdoor Championships in June.
LOS ANGELES -- Rio Olympic medalists Matthew Centrowitz, Jenny Simpson and Great Britain’s Mo Farah headline stacked fields set for Thursday at the 2017 USATF Distance Classic at Jack Kemp Stadium on the campus of Occidental College. Gates open at 5 p.m. PT with coverage starting on NBC Sports Gold (U.S.) and RunnerSpace (international) at 6 p.m. PT. Tickets are available at the gate for $10 for adults and $5 for students and USATF members.

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan -- Using an incredible amount of crowd support to push himself to the finish, Olympian Dathan Ritzenhein was back to his winning ways Saturday morning at the USATF 25 km Championships, while defending champion Aliphine Tuliamuk outlasted Neely Gracey to win the women’s race.
SHANGHAI, China -- Rio relay gold medalists Morolake Akinosun, Tianna Bartoletta, Tori Bowie and Natasha Hastings, along with Olympic champions Kerron Clement (400mH) and Jeff Henderson (long jump) headline the second meeting of the IAAF Diamond League in Shanghai on Saturday, May 13.
