ALBUQUERQUE - Sharon Day successfully defended her indoor title in the women’s pentathlon with 4,478 points and became the first champion to be crowned at the 2013 USA Indoor Track & Field Championships while Gunnar Nixon grabbed the first day lead in the men’s heptathlon Friday at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

Kim Lew Haines passed away after a battle with cancer Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Community Medical Center in Missoula, Montana, at the age of 78.
INDIANAPOLIS - The USA Track & Field Foundation today announced that Stephen A. Schwarzman, the Chairman, CEO and co-founder of Blackstone, has donated $500,000 to the USATF Foundation. The funding will be used to support world class athletes in track and field who are the most likely winners of medals at the 2016 Olympics in Rio, as well as to create a matching gift program for other donors to the USATF Foundation.
