USA Track & Field Chief Operating Officer Renee Chube Washington has been named a 2017 Game Changer by Sports Business Journal, as a female executive making a difference in the business of sport.
LONDON -- Katie Burnett (El Cajon, California), Susan Randall (Beavercreek, Ohio) and Erin Taylor-Talcott (Portland, Oregon) made history Sunday morning as part of the first field of competitors for the women’s 50 km race walk at the IAAF World Championships. Burnett took five minutes off her American 50 km record to finish in 4:21:51 Sunday, breaking her own 35 km (3:00:43) and 40 km (3:27:10) pending American records along the way.
LONDON -- Team USATF’s performance at the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London was one for the record books, from a record number of medals to all-time best performances.
With three medals Sunday night at the IAAF World Championships - gold by the women’s 4x400, silver by the men’s 4x400, and bronze by Ajee’ Wilson in the 800 - Team USATF shattered its record for the most medals at a single World Championships to close out competition at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Stadium.

A gold from the women’s 4x100, silver from the men’s relay and Dawn Harper-Nelson in the 100 hurdles, and bronze for Paul Chelimo in the men’s 5,000 meters brought Team USATF’s medal tally to 27 medals with one day of competition remaining.

But nothing, it seems, prepared the track world for the stunning 1-2 finish in the women’s steeplechase by Emma Coburn and Courtney Frerichs Friday night at the IAAF World Championships in London.
LONDON -- A pair of 1-2 finishes highlighted by a see-saw battle in the men’s triple jump gave Team USATF four medals Thursday evening at Queen Elizabeth Stadium, bringing the total to six golds and 19 medals after seven days of competition.
LONDON -- A 1-3 finish by Phyllis Francis and Allyson Felix, combined with bronze medals from Rio Olympic champions Michelle Carter and Kerron Clement in cold, rainy and breezy conditions, gave Team USATF a four-medal evening and 15 medals thus far at the World Championships Wednesday night at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Stadium.
