INDIANAPOLIS -- Alice Coachman Davis, the first black woman to win an Olympic gold medal, passed away Monday morning in Albany, Georgia. Davis, a 1975 inductee of the USA Track & Field Hall of Fame, was 90 years old.
The 2014 USATF Masters Outdoor Championships heads to the campus of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, this week, July 17-20. Competitors between the ages of 35 and 99 will compete in 33 events for individual and team championships.

Sweeping Day Two of USATF Club Championships was Central Park Track Club as both men and women earned 204 points for a combined 408-point total on the final day of competition at Mt Tahoma High School on Saturday, July 12.

GLASGOW -- Olympian Emma Coburn (Crested Butte, Colorado) etched her name in the record books Saturday, breaking the American record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Diamond League meeting in Glasgow. Coburn crossed in 9:11.42 to set a new personal best and take the AR.
Central Park Track Club dominated the first day, taking leads in the men’s (89 points), women’s (83), and combined (172) standings. Erison Hurtault won the 400 meters in 47.12 while teammate Elhadji Mbow took second in 49.25.
