On the third and final day of competition at the NACAC U-23 Championships held at Hillside Stadium in Kamloops, B.C., Canada, the U.S. performed much as it had in the previous two days, coming up with two additional meet records, a three-time gold medalist, and 12 golds for a total medal haul of 63 pieces of hardware earned over three days.
when the Mexican girl, Elisa (Hernandez Sanchez) stayed with me, but it probably helped a little because it took me out a little faster than I wanted to go. All in all, it’s just kind of meant to be a steady thing. It was the first time under 5:30 per mile pace this season, so I’m just pretty satisfied with how it went overall.”

I’m happy to be here and compete for the U.S. The backstretch wasn’t too good. I didn’t get out as fast as I wanted to or should have, so I think that hurt me a little bit.” “It feels really good. I’m just glad to be able to get on the podium even though it was definitely not my best race.”
