MINNEAPOLIS – A furious dash to the finish, saw both Shadrack Kipchirchir and Sara Hall hold off their competition, as the two charged to the tape in victorious fashion Sunday morning at the USATF 10 Mile Championships in the Twin Cities.
Hayward, WISCONSIN -- Saturday’s USATF Trail Half Marathon Championships in Hayward, Wisconsin, saw a familiar face in Joseph Gray winning his 13th national title. The 33-year-old from Colorado Springs, CO, bested a competitive field to take the win with a time of 1:10:11.
As the USATF Running Circuit sprints toward the final few races of the season, Leonard Korir and Aliphine Tuliamuk seek to extend their overall standings leads at the USATF 10 Mile Championships Sunday in the Twin Cities, hosted by the Medtronic TC 10 Mile.

Ultra runner Harvey Lewis, III (Cincinnati, Ohio) won the USATF 24-Hour Championship in Cleveland, Ohio, Sunday to earn his first USATF Athlete of the Week award.
In collaboration with Lakeshore Foundation and the National Center on Health, Physical Activity and Disability (NCHPAD), USA Track & Field will hold its first RunJumpThrow (RJT) event tailored to meet the needs of children with disabilities at Lakeshore on Friday, September 15.
Jenny Simpson (Oviedo, Florida) won the New Balance 5th Avenue Mile Sunday for a record sixth time, equaling PattiSue Plumer’s event record of 4:16.6 to lead five women under the 4:20 mark.
INDIANAPOLIS — Two prominent entertainers will add excitement to USATF’s 2017 Black Tie & Sneakers Gala on November 2 in New York City. Featured in the award-winning television show “Empire,” singer/songwriter V Bozeman will perform at the showcase USATF event, while D-Nice will handle DJ duties at the Gala’s After Party.
Cleveland, OHIO -- On September 16 at 12:00 pm, over 150 runners from over 30 states and Canada will converge on Cleveland’s Edgewater Park and battle for the right to be called a National Champion.
Angers, FRANCE -- For the tenth time in 13 years of participation, Team USATF earned top honors at France’s international decathlon event, DecáNation. Twenty elite athletes competed for the U.S. on Saturday, totaling 122 points for the U.S. France took second with 103 points, followed by Poland in third with 95.
