INDIANAPOLIS -- The city of Indianapolis celebrated Olympic Champions Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Shannon Miller as Mayor Greg Ballard issued an official proclamation declaring June 23 to be Olympic Day in the Circle City in accordance with the international day of recognition around the world.

Women’s long jump Tianna Bartoletta, second place On the event overall “I think I just started out today a little flat. The meet was a little bit earlier than we usually jump, so I think I just warmed up along the way. The weather got progressively better too and the headwind died, so that helped a lot. It was a fun competition.”

Americans won 10 events in a row Saturday, including an adidas Grand Prix record.
