Storms that ran through the Jacksonville area prompted an abrupt halt to the first day of action of the 2015 USATF Masters Outdoor Championships at Hodges Field on the campus of the University of North Florida.
U.S. tops 200-meter qualifiers and decathlon continues at Pan American Games TORONTO -- Men’s and women’s 200-meter prelims got underway Thursday morning at Pan American Games as Kaylin Whitney and Kyra Jefferson won women’s heats; Wallace Spearmon and BeeJay Lee finished second and third in their prelim qualifiers, and the decathlon continued at CIBC Pan Am/Parapan Am Athletics Stadium.
TORONTO -- Kendall Baisden and Shakima Wimbley went 1-2 in the women’s 400 meters as Team USA picked up eight more medals, three of them gold, Thursday night at the Pan American Games at CIBC Pan Am/Parapan Am Athletics Stadium, where the U.S. remains atop the medals table with 25, already surpassing the 17 medals won in 2011 and the 24 earned in 2007.
After a long awaited start, the first day of the 2015 USATF Masters Championships got underway amidst grueling heat surrounding Hodges Stadium at the University of North Florida.

JACKSONVILLE -- The 2015 USATF Masters Outdoor Championships are in a weather delay and the rest of Thursday’s events have been postponed.
LONDON -- The Diamond League continues on to London as the Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games plays host some of the world’s best athletes Friday and Saturday, July 24-25 at London Olympic Stadium. The Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games also includes the Sainsbury’s IPC Athletics Grand Prix Final taking place on Sunday, July 26.
