USATF Masters Championships during JULY 23-26 at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida include World Champions, Olympians, NFL great, local stars among 1,000 athletes ages 30-98.
CALI, Colombia -- With temperatures rising, American athletes did the same on the fifth and final day of IAAF World Youth Championships at Estadio Pascual Guerrero, where Candace Hill set a World Youth best of 22.43 to become the first American to sweep the sprint titles. Team USA started the day with three medals in 15 minutes and ended with six medals on the day, and a record 19 medals overall, eight of them gold.

CALI, Colombia -- On another four-medal night Saturday at the Estadio Pascal Guerrero, Sydney McLaughlin (South Plainfield, New Jersey) set a World Youth Championships record of 55.94 to win the women’s 400mH and Norman Grimes (Canyon, Texas) smashed his lifetime best with a 49.11 to take gold in the men’s race and increase Team USA’s medal total to 13 with one day remaining.
CALI, Colombia -- Tara Davis was the highlight of the Day 4 morning session after she automatically qualified for the long jump final on her first attempt.
TORONTO -- Lindsay Flanagan ran a strong race in the marathon Saturday at the Pan American Games, where she finished in third place in 2:36:30 with the first bronze medal ever for an American woman.
